2024 Year-End Updates
2024 kickstarted with the launch of The Postman 📬 So I tried applying for BookBub since it’s my first novel with paperback version. OMG! I can’t believe I got accepted 😆 I’ve heard many stories that Featured Deals were hard to get and that authors have to keep applying numerous times. Honestly, I didn’t expect to get it on the first try. I’m really grateful that BookBub gave my book a chance and thank you to everyone who left a review! I also sold my first paperback~
📖 You From My World was published last month. I couldn’t do any promotion for this though. BookBub’s fantasy genre seems more competitive and there are so many good books out there. But I’ll still keep applying 💪 I want to give this baby my best shot too!
I’ve also started writing my next story. Really excited for this! It’s an enemies-to-lovers story featuring a nameless male protagonist and many mythical creatures. Okay, I’m struggling right now when mentioning him. But his name will eventually be revealed. Based on my current writing speed, it’ll probably take some time before I finish writing. Plus, I need a few months for editing too 😣
On a side note, I borrowed “Die With Zero” from the library at the beginning of the year. I found it inspiring. It changed my perspective on life and made me rethink how I should live my life. After all, we only live once. In fact, I created a list of experiences I wanted to try and also paid valuable memory dividends. But I guess I’m already implementing this? Writing stories has always been my dream and I’m taking it a step further by self-publishing. It’s a precious experience that I’ll forever remember (I won’t trade this experience for anything in the world ❤️), including the excitement when my debut story was launched and the honor I felt when libraries overseas purchased my stories.
New Year’s Resolution For 2025
The goal for 2025 is of course to write as much as possible for my WIP. I’ll worry about the rest later. As the saying goes, you can’t edit a blank page 🤷 I’ll try to finish as many chapters before worrying about polishing the story later.
