The first thing you should do is register for an account at BookBub.

When you sign up as an author, you can claim your books and see the reviews that readers have left for your novels. Readers can also easily add books to their wishlists and get alerts when you have a Featured Deal running.

2. Select Book

When applying for BookBub Featured Deals, you need to select a book.

It’s best to select a book that’s available in many marketplaces. For example, a novel that’s available on Amazon, Apple, Kobo, Barnes & Noble and Google.

BookBub tends to accept books that are widely available. So give your best shot by choosing a book with the highest chance of getting accepted.

3. Fill Up The Details

Next, you have to fill up the details.

When choosing a category, this is where you tell BookBub the genre of your book. There’s a long list of genres to choose from, including Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and Science Fiction.

Here are the regions you can select:

United States
International: United Kingdom, Canada, Australia
All

Unless you have considerations, I would encourage both US and International. This way, your book will reach more audience across the world.

For pricing, you have to state your book’s original price and deal price. These are the deal prices you can select:

Deal availability is where you select the retailers:

Amazon
Barnes & Noble
Apple Books
Google Play
Kobo

For date, you can state if you have preferred dates for the promotion, including the earliest and latest dates. If you don’t have preferred dates and your book is selected, BookBub will schedule your promotion for the first available spot within 30 days.

Under the comments section, you can include scheduling requests or elaborate on your preferred dates. You can also state your flexibility on deal price. Maybe you chose $0.99 deal price but you’re willing to discount to free. Listing tropes and spoilers here can give the BookBub team a more comprehensive understanding of your book and they can determine if your book is a fit for the genre you chose or if a different genre is better (you can also mention other relevant genres yourself in the comments section). BookBub editors can also write a more accurate blurb if your book is accepted. Shouting out trade publication quotes and reviews here is great too.
